Andrew:
My name is Andrew and I have been living in Moscow, working as an English teacher, since September 2010. I am a friendly, sociable and reliable man who enjoys everything associated with the learning and teaching of languages.
I studied biochemistry for three years at Birmingham University, England, where I specialized in microbiology, graduating in July 2008. For two years, I worked as an analytical and research scientist for a water company. However, working as a scientist satisfied neither my love for languages nor my want for a big adventure to Moscow! As a result, I trained as an English teacher and moved to the city that has always fascinated me. In hindsight, this is the best decision I have ever made!
Learning language has always been my main passion, despite specializing as a microbiologist, and I speak excellent French and Spanish. Currently I am also learning and studying Russian. I believe that my ability to speak other languages has really helped me as a teacher. This is because I understand perfectly the feeling of being a language student, and I am always able to put myself in the position of the student and to look at students' problems from their perspective. My experience as a scientist has given me excellent presentation and public speaking skills, which has also helped me immensely as a teacher.
My hobbies and interests include: football, watching and playing; rugby, watching and playing; boxing and general fitness; Russian literature, history and language; French and Spanish, reading and speaking; reading and films.

Sarah Anthony:
My name is Sarah and I'm from Canada. I've been teaching in Moscow for over 3 years now and I've really enjoyed it so far.
I have quite a mix of education and professional experience. I studied Theology and then later Library Science, with part of my Theological studies being done in Germany. When I completed my Library Studies I went on to work in the Oil and Gas sector, next I left Canada to work for the Canadian military in Afghanistan. Later I moved to Denmark for a short time and eventually returned to Canada where I worked for the Ministry of Labour of Ontario. All this work and travel experience have given me a good understanding of professional English needed today as well as an awareness of different dialects of English.
Besides travelling, I love learning about history and different cultures. I also love movies and books of all kinds. I should mention that I love teaching too. This is because I love meeting new people and helping them improve their English.
